Canon Aquilion 16
The Canon Aquilion 16 is a third generation, multi-slice helical CT scanner featuring a 60 kW generator, 7.5 MHU tube and a fastest standard gantry rotation time of 0.5 seconds. In helical mode it is capable of acquiring 16 parallel rows of data per rotation with collimations of 16 x 0.5 mm, 16 x 1 mm and 16 x 2 mm.

Images are reconstructed and displayed at 12 frames per second during the scan, which enables instant diagnosis. Canon’s SUREStart technology ensures that the scan only starts when it reaches its target area by monitoring contrast uptake, leading to a low dose technique. The Canon Aquilion 16 is a good CT scanner for general imaging and you can also use it for basic cardiac studies.
